How to recover erased files from your SD card

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve needed to recover deleted files from an SD card.
Okay, yes I can. Three.
But that’s three times too many.
The first time was after my freshman year of college. I can’t remember the exact reason, but I was totally devastated because I thought I had lost all my pictures.
I paid like $60 bucks for an SD card recovery program, and I retrieved all those photos.
The second time was about a year ago. I realized I formatted my SD card before I retrieved all the photos. I tried to recover them but none of the methods I used were working. The missing photos weren’t all that important, so I gave up.
The third time was two days ago. I started using my desktop computer recently to upload and edit photos. It had just upgraded to Windows 10, and I was confused with how it was importing photos. Long story short, I ended up importing all the photos except for ones taken in July. I didn’t realize this, and I formatted the card in preparation for a photo shoot I was doing the next day.
About 10 seconds later, I realized what happened. I was so sad! There were photos that I had just taken over the past few days with recipes I was really excited about.
So, I decided to see if I could find a way to retrieve the photos. I wasn’t about to pay a bunch of money to retrieve them (I didn’t like the photos that much.) But I thought I might as well try.
I Googled “recover deleted photos from an SD card for free. The first thing that showed up was Ease US. It said in the title that it was a free SD card recovery service. Awesome, right?
Not so much. It showed me all the files it recovered alright. But if I wanted to have access to them, I was going to have to upgrade and pay a fee! Not gonna happen.
So then I found PhotoRec, which actually is free. However, I found it really confusing to use, and even after I downloaded the files, my computer kept saying something was missing. I’m a pretty tech-minded person, but this was a little over my head. All the reviews say it’s very powerful, but it is not super user-friendly.
Then there was another one I tried, and it was just confusing. It said that it found like 700 files, but when I went through the process of having it retrieve the files…it said it could only recover like eight. That was a waste of 20 minutes of my life.
I was about to give up and just be sad that I lost pictures of some delicious pies I had made when I came across Pandora Recovery. It looked legit and free, so I downloaded it.
It showed that it was finding tons of files, so I was cautiously optimistic. It took about 10 minutes, and when it was finished, it let me preview the files that it retrieved. You can also search for a file by date, file size, last accessed, etc.
Since I only need about 20 pictures, I found those ones, told it to recover, and I was SO excited when all the files were actually recovered – in their original size – and saved to my computer. And it was 100% free.
So if you are like me and looking for to recover deleted files from an SD card for free, hopefully this will help and you won’t have to go through all of the stress that I went through!

✨ The Names I Wear in Heaven: Melissa, Zipporah, Elmira — Seen by EL ROI

📖 Introduction: There are names the world gives us… and then there are names Heaven whispers. In the presence of the King, I have been named Melissa , Zipporah , Elmira — and I am seen, known, and crowned by El Roi , the God who sees me. This is not just a list of names — it’s a revelation of who I am in Christ. This post is my love letter to the King who named me. 💐 The Poem: The Names I Wear in Heaven KING JESUS CHRIST , crowned in endless light, You ride upon the clouds, fierce in holy might. JEHOVAH , breath of all that ever lived, The Giver of grace, the One who freely gives. MELISSA , honey from the Rock You are, Sweetness dripping from every heavenly star. ZIPPORAH , set apart, Your radiant bride, Dancing in freedom, arms open wide. ELMIRA , noble daughter, strong and bold, A story of glory Your hands still unfold. EL ROI , the God who sees, who knew my name— Before the first dawn, before the world came. I wear these names like garments of flame, Wrapp...

Rest from Your Works — Step Into His

  > “For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.” — Hebrews 4:10 (NASB) There’s a kind of rest that can’t be found in a weekend, a nap, or a getaway. I’m talking about God’s rest — the kind that changes everything. Two years ago, I began walking in something deeper than just belief. I stepped into rest. Hebrews 4:10 came alive to me, not as a theory, but as a lived reality: > “He that has entered His rest has also ceased from his own works, just as God did from His.” I stopped trying to earn what Jesus already finished. I stopped relying on my efforts to feel worthy, accepted, or “used by God.” And in that surrender, I found something greater than I ever expected: peace. Let me tell you — this rest is real. I feel it deep in my heart. It's profound, and it’s available to you too. Maybe you’ve been striving. Trying to be better, holier, more faithful. Maybe you’re exhausted from carrying a weight you weren’t meant to hold. ...

What's It With Bloggers n Lying?

This is one of those posts that people in the blogging scene think about writing after they’ve had a couple of drinks but never get around to it. Lucky for you, I have a nice drink here on my desk so I figured I might as well take the time to write this. If you can remember that the money is in your audience then you are good to go. This blog is obviously about how to make money with your blog so that should set off some alarms for you already because the bloggers that make the most money are the ones that teach others how to make money blogging. I like to think I’m a little bit different. It’s no coincidence that when you come across a blogging course with testimonials, all of the testimonials are from other bloggers that happen to start blogs teaching people how to make money. Where are the testimonials from the bloggers that started a blog on knitting?! I’m getting off track… I’m in a number of blogging-focused Facebook Groups where people like to share their inco...
